We are different in many ways

The mission of the school:

Children come to our school to learn to care and share. We believe this is the key to happiness and peace in the world. True to the Montessori spirit, we will educate the whole child and give him a ‘cosmic education’ respecting his individuality and at the same time raising his awareness of other people and the world around him.

The setting:

Beautiful, totally child-centered, a hymn to harmony where West blends with East just teaching the child in a subtle way respect and care for other cultures and creatures. It also celebrates nature, authenticity and simplicity raising the child’s awareness and interest in the environment, leading him away from materialism and a taste for luxury.

The Director:

A Khmer and globetrotter, she is tri-lingual English, French, Khmer with twenty five years extensive teaching experience in different settings and educational systems across the globe: Khmer, French, British, American, African, Arab. Seametrey Children’s Village, the result of years of reflection, takes the best from each system and blends them into a unique creation.

The staff:

Our staff whether international or Khmer are volunteers totally committed to make a difference. They have come to work for Seametrey because they know Seametrey is a self-sustained local NGO whose aim is to bring the best in education to economically deprived children in Cambodia. Our aim is to open a free Montessori school for children in Takhmao. Proceeds from Seametrey Children’s Village in Phnom Penh will go towards this charity project.

We are different in many other aspects.

Just pay us a visit and see for yourself! You are welcome any time...
